I am resurrecting an idea. As to me it has always been a pretty good idea, the issue ends up being the logistics of time, and getting the idea into the right peoples hands. This picture is of my friend Garret, and his girlfriend (kind of) He wanted me to do it for her birthday, and by doing this, it really put some more fuel for my idea. For some of you, you might already know my idea from previous tries, but I am going to kinda keep it on the down low, so as to not give someone else a similar idea, until I have had a jump start. Anyways, here is a fun caricature anyways.

So.... last time I updated, I was living in my childhood home of Kanab, which as far as living there it was awesome. As far as the job was concerned, it wasn't that cool. I wanted it to work soooo bad, but It just wasn't the job it was thought to be as far as creativity, and opportunity. I learned some awesome stuff from doing magazine layout, but as far as being the kind of artist I wanted to be, and having a boss as a micro manager it wasn't for me. I found another job, in my wife's dream city, which is only an hours drive from Kanab, in St. George, Utah. It's similar climate, but the elevation is a lot lower, so it is even more of a desert area. It is the largest city in Southern Utah, so we do have all the amenities that we didn't have in Kanab, and I have a great job as the Graphic Artist for the company Xtreme Graphix.

Currently I am the do all and everything artist from logos, to t-shirt design, to car vinyl wraps business cards and anything else design. Things have been really busy work wise, so I have been stressing about too much work, and still learning certain things like color separation for screen printing. So far we've figured it out. Hopefully, as times keep looking up I will become more of a designer, with hiring another person to help with the production and day to day artwork. I have some awesome design ideas, and my boss and I, are on the same page with a lot of ideas, so hopefully in the near future things will get better.

I'll start posting some of the stuff that I've done for my job. Well great talking with ya, and I'll update in another year probably.

Well I realized I haven't posted anything forever. I've been getting used to my new job, and working in the graphic design world. I am loving Kanab, but haven't been able to get out in nature too much besides a few hikes up the red cliffs around Kanab. Nichole is adjusting to her new jobs, as they aren't quite like managing a large apartment complex, but we're excited for the new start. Well I've been pretty busy, but really looking forward to putting more time into illustration and developing my style, and hopefully get an agent in the near future. I've been developing my style for years, but feel that I've started to focus in on what it is I really like to draw, and how to draw it. These are a few of my newest drawings, and will probably start adding some color to them. Let me know what you think, and what you don't. Thanks

Well, I got a 2.37 on this design on Threadless.com .  I am not sure if it will get printed, but I should be able to do something with the design.

You were man enough to pack it in weren't you......?

Well I got back from my backpacking trip to Uinta's. I wasn't in too great of shape, and it kicked my butt, but I did it. It was fun, and other than the mosquitos and my feet hurting it was Awesome. Lot's of fun, and the pictures tell most of the story. Our friend Cody works for the Forest Service, and joined us for a night. Well that's about it.

This is a design I did, and decided to put it up on Threadless.com .  I haven't done too well on there yet, but I'll keep putting stuff on there till I figure it out.  Let me know what you think.

Here is another Caricature Illustration.  I am building an illustration portfolio so that I can try and get some more freelance illustration projects.

I started a blog for Utah Artists, and I wanted us to have a bi-weekly topic to draw something about.  So the first subject was Little Red Riding Hood.  I think I wanted to push the characters even more, but it was a first try.  The Beach Party one is my latest designs for Del Sol.

I did this picture in hopes of giving Carlos Boozer and the Jazz good luck.  Well so much for that, I guess we'll have to wait till next year.

Just some more stuff.

Howdy, I have had this idea about doing Caricatures for people online.  I found some pictures of some girls and did these Caricature/portraits.  I'll keep toying with the idea, as I need to get my real website up and running to make it work.  Then I have been doing some more illustrations trying to work on my style.  So there are some more illustrations with that in mind.

This is my Aunt and Uncles house that we stayed at that night.  It was really nice.

These are pictures of an old movie/tv set where they used to film the show Gunsmoke as well as other western movies.  All the buildings were pretty functional, we used to be able to into them, but it's all fenced off now.  After we had some lunch we drove out here, east of Kanab in a place called Johnson Canyon.  Further up we saw this sign etched in the sandstone, as Johnson Canyon used to be the old Highway, so the sign was kind a like a billboard.  The white cliffs are awesome they are part of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, you can see in a couple photos the HooDoo's of Bryce National park.  ( A HooDoo is a large red sandstone spire)

These are a couple designs that I've been working on for the last little bit. The Dragon has taken me a while, but believe it is finally done, and the titan one is still just an idea for some upcoming conference in Alaska. I'll just keep on keepin' on.
